Seeming as the person I really wanted to write this post about is a friend of mine, I decided to pick an author who I don’t have to explain my obsession to because, let’s be honest, it’s a little psycho to write about your friends just because they happen to be geniuses. So, today’s YA Indie Carnival is all about my ‘YA Indie Idol! Featuring an Indie Author you love’! Now, the author I picked is most definitely worthy of being in this post. She is amazing. She’s definitely not, like, second choice or anything.

Alright, so I tried contacting her but she’s one of those fabulously mysterious, ultra-cool, reclusive authors. Hey, I don’t blame her, she probably has a life but all you’re going to get is my own personal rambling on how smooth she is instead of an interview or something. Needless to say, this is going to be a short blog. A) Because I can only keep my rants within reason for fear I lose members of my already limited audience and B) Because there’s just not a lot of info out there about her.

So, TESS OLIVER is my author of choice.

Oooooh, her words rev my engine.

Dude, I cannot tell you how much I love her freaking books! Gah! Her books are like chocolate covered potato chips. Everything you could possible want is in one small, compact power punching package. They’re like butter on your salted popcorn, like meringue on your key lime pie, like wasabi to your sushi. Her books are freaking dynamite, dude, dynamite. KAPOW!

‘How to’ Guide to Tess Oliver’s books

Alright, so you want to start her stuff. I recommend Camille to start. It’s her best novel to date, by far. Sort of has a steampunk vibe to it and I’m all about steam and punk lately, baby. *Toot! Toot!* All aboard, honey! Cast blows you out of the water. They’re sassy, funny, and downright lovable. Also, sexy as all get out. Tess is a poet with words, man. She sings.

Okay, so you’ve read Camille and you’re like. Dang! I know, right? Now you’re like, she’s got so many where do I turn? Now, the Tess Oliver labryinth seems confusing but trust me, take two lefts, a right, and straight on. You can’t miss it. Bitterroot Crossing.

Alright, two down and third time’s the charm, sweetheart…Safe Landing.

Get comfy, baby, ’cause Blood Tide is the ultimate in sexy and mystery. Lots of secret keeping. Psst, I can’t keep a secret to save my life. I’d have been doomed in that little town.

A Little Less Girl. At first, you hate the guts out of the love interest then you realize that he’s probably one of the best leads you’ve ever read.

So, if you didn’t know already, now you do. I’ll always remember to go back to Tess Oliver’s Amazon page because I love her stuff that much. I hope you do, too.
