Wren Emerson’s ‘I Wish’

So, apparently Wren Emerson is like, the funniest person on the planet. I can’t tell you how many times I was reading this novel and had to laugh out loud, complete with snorts and everthing, garnering bewildered looks from strangers and my husband alike , both shaking their heads at what was an apparent raving lunatic. Just had to get that out there. I love to laugh! So, kudos to Wren.

Now, for the heart of the book. Wow. No, double wow. I never put it down, read it in one sitting and was flabbergasted at how well she took her subjects down new and exciting paths because, let’s face it, witches have been done over and over and over but miss Emerson knocks it out of the freakin’ ball park with this one! Her book is truly creative and flying solo in a market infused with paranormal romances, creating her own unique niche. I’m itching for the second installment I tell you! Positively Itching!

So, the heroine! Thistle is interesting, feisty, intelligent, creative and just downright likeable. I can say, with absolute certainty, that everyone will be swayed by her easy ways and ‘bewitching’ charm as she fights to stay on top and stay alive in this alluring novel set in the ‘not quite what it seems’ town of Desire. A town full of typical snobs, overbearing families, and oh-so-hot and definitely swoon worthy heart throbs, ahem, Ben.

Get yourself a copy today, no, this very minute! You’ll find yourself wishing, nyuck nyuck, as I did that everyone would just shut-up already and leave you alone so you can just finish your dang book! Ugh! So good!
